Re-Release of The Better Thing!

Hello, Reader Community!

My updates are few and far between, so now I have a TON to update you about! I have been busy. Not only with homeschooling, managing winter illness, and trying out pierced ears for the first time in my three decades of living (a failed experiment)—but I have been working hard to re-release the second edition of The Better Thing!

There are two major changes with this second edition.

The first? A new cover design! I have been working with a colleague, former coworker, and dear friend (I introduced him to his wife, another one of my close friends!) to redesign the cover of The Better Thing to more closely match The Sweet Experiment. A major motivation for this was my development of an official series title:

Redemption in Pistacia Hills

This series includes The Sweet Experiment (Book 1), The Better Thing (Book 2), and a third book, which is still being written. This third book will also take place at Pistacia Hills University, but, unlike the first two, will feature a male main character.

Okay, enough logistics. You want to see the new cover??

I can't wait to have it in my hands to compare it to its precursor. This book was also designed to be the same size as The Sweet Experiment. I'm currently waiting to receive my first proof copy, then I will check it for errors in design or content, then—hopefully, assuming there are no issues—I will officially release this second edition!

The other big change is that I decided to re-publish this book through IngramSpark rather than Amazon's Kindle Direct Publishing. This will allow my book to be distributed through retailers other than Amazon and will create opportunities for me to work with bookstores. (Gotta support those small business-owners!)

So, big things ahead! Once the new retailer listings are active and complete, I will need lots of reviews across platforms! If you are interested in reviewing the book, please contact me, and I would be happy to send you a complimentary copy of the ebook.

Thanks so much for joining me in this author-mama journey. Most of the time, it is very un-glamorous, wiping carrot-applesauce off my car doors and turning on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse so I can keep the teriyaki chicken meatballs from burning. But once in a while, I get to hear how my books are impacting readers, and I remember why God called me to write about Payton's journey, which led to Alyssa's, and is now spreading through Wyatt's family. Thank you for your encouragement and support. Soli Deo Gloria.
