What Donald Trump & Ryan Reynolds Have in Common

Donald Trump can say one thing (years before he is in the political arena), and the media uses it at as evidence of his horrible quality of character and how he is unfit to be president—and yet Ryan Reynolds could say the same thing, and people will pay $30 to watch him say it over and over in their own home. True, most people wouldn’t vote Deadpool for president. But something is definitely wrong here with our society’s double standard for "good entertainment" (which does have an influence on personal morals as well as what society accepts as acceptable behavior) and what is considered appropriate from businessmen speaking in public platforms.

I'm not saying that President Trump is an innocent, righteous person (who is?) or even that I respect him. But I also don't respect Deadpool and his banner of violence, sexual perversion, self-absorption, and dysfunctional psychology. My point? Maybe we should examine our hearts more carefully when we praise one person for the very things we hate about another.
